Mitt Romney, the guy that believes the world is only 6000 years old if I am right in understanding he hasn't abandoned his faith, has gone on a bit of a tirade against Donald Trump. Romney is a very respectable moneylender that's why he goes to church because it is harder for a rich man to get in to......somewhere, I can't remember where....but it's hard for them to get there unless they do a lot of churchgoing.

Romney was getting ready to go to church when his son, Tagg told the family Donald Trump had refused to "disavow" the endorsement of Klansman David Duke who caused an international sensation in the fashion world when he exchanged his cloak and hood for a three piece suit.

Trump claimed that it was a defective earpiece that led to what the WSJ refers to as an "ambiguous answer" to questions on the subject.

Mitt, a true god fearing American and patriot couldn't hold back anymore and took to the twitter world. "His coddling of repugnant bigotry is not in the character of America" he tweeted in reference to Trump. My added emphasis.

It's not? Are examples I have included here just isolated events in US history?

Of course, like most of Christianity and its various sects and cults,  Milt's group also held that black people were inferior and discriminated against them. It couldn't be called racism I suppose as god said it. The Lord had cursed Cain's seed with blackness and prohibited them from the Priesthood. Brigham Young wrote:

"You see some classes of the human family that are black, uncouth, uncomely, disagreeable and low in their habits, wild, and seemingly deprived of nearly all the blessings of the intelligence that is generally bestowed upon mankind . . . Cain slew his brother. Cain might have been killed, and that would have put a termination to that line of human beings. This was not to be, and the Lord put a mark upon him, which is the flat nose and black skin,"

Old Brigham believed that one day the curse would be lifted by god and all would be well. That day no doubt coincided with the revelation that black people were increasing their economic power and the business was missing out on potential dues paying recruits.

The ruling class in the US from the day they set foot on this soil have waged a brutal and bigoted war against any group that stood in the way of progress according to their god of capital accumulation. Like the British peasantry, the native people whose home it, was had to be driven from the land, from their means of subsistence. Not in to factories debtors prisons or workhouses, overseas prison colonies or floating factories, but reservations. * Capitalism needs "free" labor, and it's a rough ride.  The Southern slave system (no bigotry there is there?) had to be dealt with in the end as it was an obstruction to capitalist development but it was not through the generosity of the ruling classes that slavery was ended, Lincoln himself never threatened slavery in the north. It was a business decision from above, a struggle between two systems of production and the classes that governed them And a struggle against oppression from below as the Africans fought in the civil war in their thousands.

There's too much bigotry to give examples here, any thinking worker has a better understanding of history than Romney's. What is more disconcerting is that Romney and others like him can make such a statement and there are no serious repercussions, no explosions from below, just a sort of passive resignation with the understanding that we are governed by immoral individuals and there's nothing we can do about it. Best put my head down and slog on.

I realize this will change. But it needs to be sooner than later. Time is not on our side.

And like the pouring of Dioxin on the Vietnamese, their food, and even their own troops, the US ruling class had another trick up their sleeve for driving Native Americans off the land. Eliminate their food supply.

**There was much national and racial animosity directed by the predominant Protestant Anglo Saxon US ruling at other Europeans as well.  The worst of it often directed at the Irish, Eastern Europeans and Italians.  But the myth of the "white" race, brought the European workers some concessions.

History is not pretty. Romney is a liar and we cannot build a future for humanity if we shy from the truth.
