San Francisco March 4 Demo

We have around 75 folks turning out to SF Civic Center for the midday rally.  Its small, but spirited and I'm seeing that students from high schools and colleges are headed downtown now to join us.  There will be a giant rally this evening at 5pm, organized by the leadership of the unions in San Francisco.  The San Francisco March 4 Committee voted to have this rally at 1pm to encourage students to walk out of their schools and workers to walk off their jobs so that we truly shut down the state.  Unfortunately the union leaders didn't call a strike or build a rally for the middle of the work day.  But this is just the beginning and we will need to take more serious action in the future, including a strike of millions of students and workers in order to win our demands.  If you're in SF come to the next March 4 committee meeting March 13, 2pm, at 522 Valencia.

We chalked up the sidewalks in front of SF City Hall.
