"Tim Sandle explains why the novel coronavirus is the product of natural adaptation, making the jump from an animal to humans and not an artificial creation in a Chinese laboratory. The video also looks at viral mutation and the concept of there being different strains of the virus."

Specifically he warns of conspiracy theories and explains that there is no evidence the virus was biologically engineered escaped from a lab or was released as a weapon of biological warfare.

He is a chartered biologist and holds a first class honours degree in Applied Biology; a Masters degree in education; and has a doctorate from Keele University. Dr. Sandle is a tutor with the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Manchester for the university’s pharmaceutical microbiology MSc course. In addition, Dr. Sandle serves on several national and international committees relating to pharmaceutical microbiology and cleanroom contamination control.
