Israel upset at Iranian warships using the Suez Canal

The Israeli's are complaining and threatening a "response" because two Iranian warships are planning to sail through the Suez canal today en route to Syria. Israel considers this a "provocation. Yet Israel and Egypt and other countries in the region are saturated with arms and military hardware from foreign countries.  The US, for example is planning on sending $28 billion worth of planes and pother military equipment to the thugs in Saudi Arabia who, if we are lucky, might end up on the same road as Mubarak.

"Tonight, two Iranian warships are meant to pass through the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean Sea and reach Syria, something that has not happened in many years," Israel's Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said in a Jerusalem.  He continued, "To my regret, the international community is not showing readiness to deal with the recurring Iranian provocations. The international community must understand that Israel cannot forever ignore these provocations."

It is this type of bias that has driven much of the anti-American and western sentiment in the Arab world.  The Israeli's are armed to the teethThis blog gives no support to the Iranian regime, a theocratic, ant-worker. viciously sexist regime that needs to go the way of Ben Ali and Mubarak, but the hypocrisy is the issue.  The US orchestrated the coup that overthrew the democratically elected government of Iran in 1953 and installed the murderous Shah.  There is history here, unfortunately, most American workers would be unaware of this history given the extreme censorship that exists in the US mass media.

Both the Iranian and the Syrian dictatorial regimes are well aware of the dangers brought about by the uprisings that are occurring throughout the region.
