Iraqi workers take to the streets.

The US national Guard and US troops were used in Bagdad on Oct. 19th to protect the Minister for Finance building from angry workers.  They were protesting against threats to cut wages which were part of a deal between the government and the IMF. The demonstration was led by the trade unions. There are plans for this demonstration to be followed by a series of demonstrations and sit ins at the Minister for Industry.

In another piece of Iraqi news the Pentagon has found out again that Cheyney's Halliburton subsidiary which is the main contractor to the US war machine in Iraq has been fiddling the books. So while a million Iraq's die, and over 4,000 US soldiers also, they are busy filling their pockets. This is a criminal and degenerate regime and a criminal and degenerate war. And Bush and Cheyney are war and also common criminals.
