The Manchester Synagogue Attack. What is the Likely Motive?

In the video above, Zack Polanski of the Green Party UK is asked what he thinks about the pro-Palestine protests that have continued in the aftermath of the terrorist attack at a Jewish synagogue in Manchester.  Are they not a bit insensitive in the midst of such a “horrific” event?

Polanski’s answer is excellent and, most importantly, the correct one. The attack in Manchester and the Zionist regime’s genocide in Gaza are “separate issues” and that every single day, “a classroom of children is dying in Gaza.” 

The UK government has supported and armed the Zionist regime’s genocide and the way the questions are posed to Mr. Polanski is an attempt to bolster the UK government ‘s position. He is raising the possibility that the Manchester attack was motivated by a hatred of Jews because they are Jews, as opposed to a response to Zionist murder. 

I was very disheartened when I first heard of the synagogue attack as we know it will be used to advance a pro-Israel agenda; but it did not surprise me at all. I have made it clear in the past that the longer Israel’s genocide goes on, and it can only continue due to backing from western states, the US and UK in particular, the likelihood of attacks on western Jews will increase. 

I can only imagine how Arab, Palestinian and Muslim people must feel having to witness the horror the Zionist regime is inflicting on the Palestinian people. Not to mention the Islamophobia that is promoted by western leaders.  As I write, the Zionists are attacking a flotilla composed of unarmed people from 44 different countries trying to take food to people being starved to death by the Israeli occupation. It’s like a Hollywood horror movie.

And while young Jews, in the US and UK in particular are anti-Zionist and in the forefront of the pro-Palestinian movement, here in the US many wealthy Jews are staunch supporters of the regime providing money and political support. People like Michael Bloomberg, Larry Ellison, the new owner of Tik Tok and others in Hollywood like the comedian Jerry Seinfeld defend Israel’s actions. What is more disgusting than the sexual predator Donald Trump, his son in law Kushner, the land pimp, and the war criminal Tony Blair discussing building a tourist haven in Gaza over the bones of the murdered men women and children.

It is a given that we condemn anti-Semitism and Zionism that promotes it. But to promote the killer’s motive in Manchester as anti-Semitism of the centuries old European type is a mistake. The protests against Israel’s genocide are not motivated by hatred of Jews, their cause is just.
