The Israeli Genocide and the Complicit Western Media. There are Options.

There are so many figures in the West, in its media, in the political arena, who are not just complicit but founding partners in the Israeli genocide, mass murder of children and innocents and ethnic cleansing of the indigenous people of Palestine.

 

Benjamin Milekowski, (Netanyahu) is one individual, one part in this European settler community that was the brainchild of British imperialism in the aftermath of WW1. With the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, a vacuum existed in the region and it needed to be filled, specifically by western European capital.

 

With the Balfour declaration the stage was set. The first British governor of Jerusalem had made it clear that British presence in the region was important and would act as “Our loyal little Ulster amid a sea of Arabism”.

 

There was another side to this and that was it would be one way of finally ridding the continent of Europe of its Jewish problem. For centuries, Christian Europe, persecuted its Jewish population, isolated them, discriminated against them , barring them from owning land and from certain professions, and, when all else failed, murdered them. This culminated in the Nazi Holocaust, the industrial mass murder of Europe's Jews.

 

Jews, Christians and Muslims had lived in Palestine for centuries and prospered. Jews and Muslims are cousins. When Christian Spain expelled its Jewish population, those who wouldn’t forcibly convert, it was the Muslims of North Africa and the Turks that took them in and in whose society they prospered.

 

In this sense, Israeli Jews are the victims too. But like all colonial settler societies, the people’s whose land they stole, whose culture they have to eradicate (the history of the US mirrors this experience) do not leave the stage of history easily.

 

In our world where a few media companies, overwhelmingly US based, bring the events and happenings around the world to our attention, we need to look elsewhere.

 

Double Down News, that produced the video above is one of them. Drop Site News is another and these are important to follow. I am not endorsing all their content, but they provide an alternative to the standard main stream media owned by global corporations.  There are also some US news outlets also. There are also good writers that the MSM rejects due to their attempts to provide real journalism for the people. Many of them are on new platforms like Substack.  I publish some of them on this blog, people like Johnathan Cook and Ken Klippersein for example.
