The Western Mass Media is Complicit in the Genocide in Palestine.

Look at this, for Israel to survive it has to be de-Zionised

“Battles rage in Northern Gaza” reads one headline this morning. Language really matters folks.  Before the occupying power sends in its troops, it “softens up” the area they will enter. This was a principal tactic of the US occupation of Afghanistan as well before it was driven out by guys wearing sandals. What it means is they bomb the crap out of an area and then their troops are sent in to clean up the few that survive. “Softening up” “mowing the lawn” ah, the colorful language of warfare.

But how can it be a “war”. One side, is the aggressor, the other, resisting that aggression. If it is a war, it is a war of liberation. More importantly, the occupier has planes, tanks, boats, modern technology and the most powerful army in the world some argue. All thanks to the generosity of the gang that occupy the US Congress and the US taxpayer that has the worst health care system of the so-called industrial democracies that is the main cause of bankruptcy for millions.

There is nothing more infuriating than those who dare to ask whether or not Hamas should be allowed to be a part of the governorship of Gaza or a Palestinian state after the dust settles. That is for the Palestinian people to decide. And, let’s be clear. Those who have died fighting the Zionists since they broke through the confines of the Gaza concentration camp and before, and who are dying fighting the Zionists in Rafah now, have earned the right to speak for Gaza. They have died with their people unlike so many of the warmongers in the West, George W Bush, Clinton (both of them) the serial sexual predator Trump, Obama, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, Cheney, all of them who champion war but avoid it like the plague.

As a socialist, I do not accept that religious based political organizations can show a way out of this quagmire, but that is irrelevant. Hamas and any Palestinian that has been part of this resistance that has changed the way the Israel/Palestine issue is seen by millions of people deserve our respect.

Because of the Palestinian struggle for emancipation, the Zionists, the US and the western, former colonial powers, stand alone in the world as supporters of genocide and their whining about democracy is revealed as the hypocrisy it is.
