The great English director Ken Loach talking about the British Labor Party. What sort of party claiming to represent the interests of the working class allows a person with the title "Lord" to be a member, let alone an official in it.
If you are not familiar with the films of Ken Loach, he is one of the cinema's greatest living directors and has won the prestigious Cannes Palme d'Or twice with I Daniel Blake and The Wind That Shakes The Barley, a drama about the Irish war of independence. Jimmy's Hall is a another great film set in Ireland, British capitalism's first colony. Bread and Roses, based on the Justice For Janitors Campaign in Los Angeles is another.
Land and Freedom is another of his great movies but there are so many. You can see the list at this link.
Ken Loach was expelled from the Labor Party this year as part of the purge of the left. Anti-Semitism or criticism of the state of Israel and support for Palestinians is being used as the basis for expulsion. Many left wing Jewish members have also been expelled for anti-Semitism.
