Bison Back in the Badlands.

Bison being released in the Badlands , the first Bison there since 1870. It's a wonderful sight.  In a slightly different version of this I saw on Now This media. It said that the Bison roamed the plains by the millions but declined drastically as people moved westward. It wasn't just people moving westward though. The slaughter of Bison was a strategic US government effort to starve the Native American in to extinction. Agent orange was the continuation of this policy100 years later.
