In a major surprise, Chicago Mayor, Rahm Emanuel announced he is not running for a third term. Emanuel is hated in the city by most groups that associate him with deception and greedy power and money corruption. Emanuel was also a member of the Israeli armed forces.
In his announcement Emanuel talked of his devotion,
toughness, wisdom and successes. His successes, though were limited to him and his
billionaire friends. "Chicago is better and stronger for his leadership, and I was a better
President for his wise counsel at a particularly perilous time for our
country,"
Fine words coming from Obama, but his IDF friend ran a nasty racist austerity game on health education and welfare and used the police as attack dogs on the poor minorities. In 2013 Emanuel took on the teachers union and closed 50 public schools. This overwhelmingly affected black and brown children, also among the most victims of Obama's drone wars.
The LaQuan episode was amazing in it's criminal sadistic Machievellian visciousness. Laquan McDonald, 17, who the police say was wielding a three-inch knife was shot 16 times by the cops and the Chicago City Council agreed to pay $5 million to the family
He left because citizens lead by Ex Governor Quinn and Lora Chamberlain, among others, had succeeded in getting a term limit for him in the works for the ballot. He folded and spouted platitudes and lies. With the economy about the slump, he's bailing out like Daley before him.
