US racist state apparatus.

Ferguson cops and militias hanging out.
Sean O'Torain.

A white cop shoots an African American man in the back when he is running away. A white cop illegally stops and imprisons an African American woman and she dies in her prison cell. Black and white cops illegally arrest a Black man and he dies after ride in a police wagon. Cops arrest and murder a Black man in NYC for selling cigarettes. I could go on and on.

Then there are the recent developments in Feguson. The racist military gang the so-called Oath Keepers arrive in town armed the teeth and wearing battle fatigues. They are there they say to defend the constitution. The reality is this outfit exists to kill African American people and any minority they think should die. What do the Feguson cops do? Nothing. They mumble that the so-called oath keepers are not helpful and that they do not know who sent them.

Imagine what would happen if a group of heavily armed African Americans arrived in Ferguson or any other city. The cops would not treat them the way they are treating these terrorists. When the rancher Bundy refused to pay his taxes for twenty years the state sent cops and other officials to collect them. Bundy was joined by armed white militias complete with snipers. The state apparatus backed off in the interest of "public safety." But when it comes to African Americans and their allies fighting against police brutality and racism sends in the armed cops, the military vehicles, and declares a state of emergency.

US capitalism is propped up by a racist violent state. And in the background as a reserve for when it thinks it might need them it has the armed militias. And of course the entire country is awash with guns. The struggle to end US capitalism will not be a walk in the park in the US.
