Donald Sterling still doesn't get it.

Oops! Mustn't do this darlin'

Since I posted this I read that V Stiviano says that "Part of what the world heard was only 15 minutes. There's a number of other hours that the world doesn't know."

This confirms what I have stated in previous blogs that who knows how many times she hasd to listen to his racist shit.  She also does him a favor saying that he was "Brought up in a different generation" and that "He's not a racist."  So she's not completely honest but that's OK.

A reader of this blog said to me that Donald Sterling and V Stiviano his girlfriend were both morally corrupt individuals and basically "fuck 'em both". This is a flawed position as he has much more social power she does.

This is a sort of akin to that tee shirt that the bikers and some right wingers wear that says "Kill them all, let god sort them out.".

I don't subscribe to that view of the world.  I take sides.

Apparently Donald Sterling, according to "The Wrap"  has decided that he should make a public statement about the whole episode of his racist rant and the girlfriend that taped it or, if she did not tape it, challenged his racist view of the world.

What does the billionaire have to say?

He has finally broken the silence the media reports.  Has he said that his view of the world is "fucked up?". Has he learned his lesson and realized that the woman he was sleeping with has dark skin and his views about dark skinned people seem to conflict with this?

I don't think so. Most superficial racists will sleep with a black woman despite their philosophical views. Nothing gets in the way of an orgasm.

Sterling lets us know even more clearly that you don't have to be smart to accumulate $2 billion in wealth in US society.

“I wish I had just paid her off,” Sterling is reported to have told the media.

Los Angeles First Amendment Attorney Marc J Randazza says that “Maybe us all getting together as citizens and saying, ‘You know what? Fuck this. Did we really defeat the totalitarian Stalinist states in Eastern Europe just so we could have our girlfriends and our kids’ friends and the person I'm talking to at the bar late at night to take the place of the secret police, and make it that there's no place I can be private, no place I can be alone, no place that I can try out new ideas.”

Well sorry Marc, I don't agree with you here. Fuck Donald Sterling.  And you too Marc if need be. What the hell do you know about Stalinism? Are you telling me that the right to privacy means the right to talk about the night I had sex with a 12 year old 'cause I got her drunk when I was at my nephews house should be protected as free speech? And that she should be vilified for sharing it in one way or another?

Mr. Randazza points out that “If she didn't actually have his knowledge or permission, it is a criminal violation as well as a civil violation,” with regards to recording the conversation. But you know what. Laws are made by people and they are made to defend certain class interests. It's in the California constitution that moneylenders have to paid their interest. It's not in the same constitution that everyone should have health care and a home.  So laws are made by certain people in the interests of certain people.

Unions were illegal at one time in our history.  We violated that law, we massed together and violated it. We won unions.  In the Apartheid south people of color could not enter or be served at certain eating establishments. People violated the law and society moved forward.

Progress is made by breaking the law in a mass way.

The laws that hurt working people and the likes of Donald Sterling can take a hike to put it mildly.

His girlfriend did us all a favor.
