How come the pope doesn't mention this?

Well here's a progressive bunch of 7th century clerics at Havana's airport . This is the western version of Mullah Omar and his underlings. Not one women among them. A bunch of old misogynists, the group that crushed the liberation theologists, thinks gays are degenerate, Jews will burn in hell if they don't convert when JC comes back and masturbation is a sin. We're doomed.
While Cuba is a one party dictatorship, it is other things as well. I would like to ask his holiness this:  How does a tiny little Island that the most powerful nation on earth has blockaded for over 50 years, manage to have abetter health care system than the US, and look at these statistics:
Cuba: Infant mortality rate:
total: 4.83 deaths/1,000 live births
male: 5.19 deaths/1,000 live births
female: 4.45 deaths/1,000 live births (2012 est.)
country comparison to the world:
183
USA: Infant Mortality rate:
total: 5.98 deaths per 100
male:
6.64 deaths/1,000 live births
female: 5.3 deaths/1,000 live births (2012 est.)
country comparison to the world:
the world: 174

Cuba: Life expectancy at birth:

total population: 77.87 years
country comparison to the world: 59
male: 75.61 years
female: 80.27 years (2012 est.)

USA Life expectancy at birth
total population: 78.49 years

country comparison to the world: 50
male: 76.05 years
female: 81.05 years (2012 est.)

US death rate:
8.39 deaths/1,000 population (July 2012 est.)

country comparison to the world: 87
Cuba death rate: 7.52 deaths/1,000 population (July 2012 est.)
country comparison to the world: 114
How come the pope doesn't congratulate Cuba on this accomplishment.? I'll tell you why this is.  Cuba does not have a health industry dominated by the market and giant corporations.  These statistics come from the CIA world factbook.  I put a number of others in but lost them and am too tired to redo it.  Check out two ally's of US capitalism that they pour billions of dollars of our tax money in to, Egypt and Pakistan, see how so far behind Cuba they are when it comes to those stats.  The pope doesn't mention this.
You can criticize Cuba as a one party dictatorship with justification but you have to look deeper as that's not all it is. The pope says nothing about how Cuba's health system has been the gem of the former colonial countries because he's been in Mexico and Cuba as a mouthpiece of capitalism.  The US sends $5 billion in weapons to Colombia, Cuba sends thousands of doctors to other countries.

The pope's  just a spokesperson for the 1%.
