Brutal Saudi regime and Washington favorites behead woman for withcraft

What beheading? I didn't see no beheading
I see that a Saudi woman has been beheaded for “witchcraft and sorcery.” According to ABC news this is the second Saudi woman this year to be executed for witchcraft.  The Saudi religious police apparently searched the woman’s home and found a book about witchcraft and vials full of an “unknown liquid used for sorcery".
The woman claimed to be a healer and sold the potions to others as remedies for various ills.

The Saudi government is the most respected friend of the US government and its officials have many friends in the United States, the Bush family and other well known figures.

Amnesty International says that at least 79 people have been executed in Saudi Arabia in 2011, more than three times as many as in 2010. The close the US capitalist class has with the Saudi monarchy reveals the utter hypocrisy that passes for US foreign policy.  No Syria type sanctions on the Saudi’s and to think that the US has waged a propaganda war against Cuba and isolated that country for 50 years. No bringing democracy to the Saudis.  The unelected rulers of the US care not one iota about undemocratic regimes or despotic rulers.  US capitalism has either installed or propped up most of them from Mobutu to Mubarak, Somoza to Pinochet.

The Saudi’s on the other hand have been very reliable allies of US capitalism and recently invaded Bahrain on behalf of US capitalism to help quell a movement for reform and democratic rights there.  Bahrain is an absolute monarchy.

The obvious bias of US imperialism in its unconditional support for the Zionist regime and for brutal regimes like the Saudi’s along with its arrogant claims to be a champion of human rights and democracy is the major cause of anti-US feeling in the Middle East.  The US and British have been the greatest obstacle to secular democratic regimes developing in the region.

This foreign policy might be considered mad and certainly appears that way to any thinking human being.  But capitalism and the struggle for control of the world’s resources bring together a real band of thieves.  Politics makes strange bedfellows as they say. US foreign policy is the best recruitment tool for the nebulous al Qaeda. Like gangrene on a wound, US imperialism and al Qaeda need each other to survive; they are, like Dante’s adulterers, joined together for eternity.

There should be major demos at Saudi embassies here for this.  The Unions should also take it up. I think I'll at least make a call.
