Subject: Occupy Chicago: Well hundred arrested during Peaceful Protest at Grant Park

Sisters and Brothers,

I write tonight to inform you that Well over a hundred teachers, union members, activists, and students were arrested during a peaceful protest at Grant Park. They are being held at the station at 18th and State As you all know, Occupy Chicago has stood in direct solidarity with workers and their struggles over the past week. Indeed, many of you marched and rallied with us tonight in support of this solidarity.

I write to ask for your advocacy on our behalf. If you could please:

1) Call Rahm to demand both the release of our brothers and sisters as well as stay of the curfew at grant park for our protest. Call your aldermen as well.

2) Reply back to this email and provide, if you can, an official short statement speaking against the arrest of the peaceful Occupy protesters on public property.

3) Forward this email far and wide.

We sincerely appreciate any advocacy you can provide. When we fight together, we win together.

In Solidarity,

Labor Outreach
Occupy Chicago
