House passes No Taxpayer Funding For Abortion Act

So the House of Representatives has passed the  No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act,  251 to 175. This is the same den of iniquity that has participated in the slaughter of millions upon millions of people in the interest of US corporations;  has wasted billions in taxpayer money bailing out banks and the crooks that run them. The same institution that dropped nuclear bombs on major populated areas, populated with civilians by the way, does not want to spend tax dollars so that a woman can have an abortion.

And Congress is in the process of destroying our standard of living that took generations and heroic sacrifices to win.  These crooks are throwing people from their homes, cutting their pay, taking their jobs and they are concerned about life. How many babies and children's lives are destroyed by their economic policies?  Millions. How do they get to be "Pro-life".  They are "pro-unborn" but pro-life they're not.

Of course, rich women will always be able to have abortions and if they need to get rid of the burden of too many kids they can hire others to watch them and take care of them. They are very good at this as we know.  Even the racists among them weren't worried about having black women wet nurse their children.

The other side of it is that as they deny women this right they deny them an education, a decent job with a wage that one can live on and therefore they deny them the conditions that make having children possible without slipping in to poverty.  Most abortions are economic driven I would say.  In fact I think I have some stats on that on the blog here somewhere.

It is not simply the right to have an abortion that we must defend, and that it is in the last analysis a woman's choice and hers alone, but we must fight for the conditions that allow a woman to have children, to have a baby without being tied to the home and/or having to deny herself a career or work that is important to her, without denying her the opportunities men have. Pregnancy leave long after a child is born and childcare in or adjacent to all workplaces so that a mother, or father, can lead a productive life and care for children is a small step.

Having an abortion is not an easy decision to make, that's why having children should not be a burden in any way. But what hypocrites these old men are that seem to lead this movement, they support tax money for wars, for military adventures abroad. And Congress? What a den of thieves. Some 77% of the leaders of the anti-abortion movement are men and 100% of them will never be pregnant.

The politicians of a nation that has 2 million people in prison, probably close to 50% of them from one ethnic group have some nerve passing a law that claims to value life. If the Democratic Party was anything it would expel its members who voted for it.

Workers cannot rely on these two capitalist parties to fight for our interests. We have to build an independent movement that fights in the workplaces, schools and streets with direct action methods. And we must build an independent workers party as an alternative to the Republicrats.
