Protests in Kuwait: Reactionary men attack women's day march in Tahir Square

Yet another of US capitalism's puppet regimes is under siege as the domino effect of the  uprising that began in Tunisia continues. Youth groups in Kuwait are planning to hold demonstrations calling for the resignation of the prime minister, and for greater political freedoms. The al-Sabah family, an absolute monarchy,  has ruled Kuwait for more than 250 years, and political parties are banned. This is what US and western capitalism calls a good and reliable ally.

A group called the Fifth Fence has urged followers on the social networking site Twitter to take to the streets on Tuesday as parliament holds its first session in six weeks.  More from Al Jazeera

Also, Bloggers are reporting that a group of men have attacked a women's day march in Cairo's Tahir Square.  Laurie Penny writes for the New Statesman and the tweet below is from a woman in the square obviously.

Oh my god. I am sickened, just sickened, at what is happening in Tahrir square. Violent men are breaking up the women's day march.
