Cal State LA Students, Staff and Faculty Start Organizing against Cuts

Students, Staff and Faculty at Cal State LA are furious because of the Budget Cuts!

Today a group of 7 students were heading for a Town Hall meeting held in a 200 capacity room. The meeting was to be hosted by the School's president to talk about the budget cuts. The room to no surprise became full and more than 100 or more student staff and faculty were denied entry. The 7 student who were organized got a hold of a bull horn of which they used to gather other people who were denied acces to the room. With this tool handy they got 25 to 30 Student, Staff and Faculty and started chanting "Let us in!, Let us in!". This was heard inside of the building. They were flyering other who were walking by, people who knew nothing of the town hall meeting gathered to help chant.

Some of the SSF were given acces into the building after a few from inside, left the meeting. "One Out One In" was yet the next chant. The president of the school was giving a power point of what "His" statistics of the budget cuts were. Many SSF gave no attention to his info and went after the budget cut. After which he had nothing else to say to their responses.

Take into account that during summer session there are hardly any political motivated SSF, but seeing that there was that amount of people organizing shows that consciousness is changing caused by the cuts.

Now the SSF are planing to get together and begin organizing.
More info will be posted later.
