Teachers Strike being attacked from LAUSD

Teachers started worrying about what to expect from Fridays strike that has been planned by the LA teachers Union (UTLA). However, things just got complicated. The head of the LAUSD schools has just got an order from the court dictating that if Teachers walk out during school hours they will be arrested. Teachers are now thinking what will the Union decide; whether to break the law or retract their planned strike? When UTLA had their members vote for a strike 20,000 teachers out of 27,000 voted for it. That put much pressure on the Union. Still the Courts have done what they could to prevent the teachers from going out. The mood from the school is rather low, they are not willing to do nothing that the union will not let them do. If the Union decides to back off then there will be furious teachers, but the rank and file are not up with fighting without the backing of a union. Now more than ever do the teachers need to strike because of the many "displaced" teachers, pay cuts and loss of benefits. Regardless of what the courts are doing, teachers, teachers assistants, custodians, buss drivers, cafeteria workers should keep their links together and find a way to change the way Unions are operating, (Not in the interest of the workers) and make it work in the workers interest. If there is no resistance now, pays cuts are going to be limitless.
