While the Canadian health care sytem falls short of the single payer national health care sysyem in France-it astounds most Canadians to hear the horror stories of the American system. What is most amazing though is that the 16% of GDP is spent on health care in US , only 10% in Canada. The rise to 10% in a few year from approx 6-7% is largely due to the insidious cancer of privatization that is slithering in through the back door.
Seems that logic and facts cannot fight the big business agenda.Most of us were raised to believe health care is a right - not a privilege . Astounding that of all the public services -health care being the most important of all -anyone should think of it as anything but a most fundamental and basic right for all.
