2.1 trillion

I see that the total amount now allocated to bail out the capitalist financial institutions in the US, Germany, France and Britain comes to $2.1. According to the UN this would feed the world's poor for three hundred years. Capitalism stands condemned by this alone. It can bail out the rich. But it cannot take even a fraction of its wealth and feed the poor. As a system it has forfeited its right to exist, as a class the capitalist class have forfeited their right to rule. And the union leaders who refuse to fight this system have forfeited their right to leadership. 

We have to build a new independent fighting workers movement that will oppose capitalism and fight for a democratic socialist federation of the world.
