Workers Watch This. An Interesting Discussion on the UAW Strike

Take the time to watch this, it's a decent clip. If the UAW leadership maintains this position under what will amount to massive pressure, the consequences are very positive for organized labor and the working class in general. The Democratic Party is that black hole in to which all movements are steered in order to render them harmless; independent working class action on the job or in politics through an independent political voice terrifies them. The point about the interviewer and her demeanor at the UAW not endorsing Biden is spot on. The Democratic Party is a dead end;  Workers, the black community and all those sections of society that have nowhere else to go politically are taken for granted by it. The era of the domination of these two parties over US economic and political life is coming to an end.

The big danger is not because people are flawed or they wimp out. The crux of the matter is the labor leadership, Fain included, see no alternative to capitalism. They simply want it to be fair but it is not and never has been. Given this world view, when the system goes in to crisis which it cannot avoid, their impulse is to save it from itself, to bail it out which ultimately means turning on their own members, and the working class as a whole.
