I admire this guys courage for speaking out, for as a Jew what he is saying is heresy. But I am not convinced that there is a solution to the crisis in this part of the world including what we know as the Israel/Palestinian problem, within the framework of capitalism.
I cannot see the Zionists or any Zionist regime allowing a multi-ethnic Democratic Israel in which Jews lose their favored status; it will not happen as things stand in my opinion. Zionism thrives on Anti-Semitism, it cannot exist without it. The Zionists will defend this to the death as their Saudi friends would with regard to their situation in Saudi Arabia.
It's almost impossible to say what the future holds. The Zionists are a crazed bunch supported by Christian Zionists in the US who believe that the conflict is foretold in the Bible. In a crunch I am convinced any Zionist regime in Israel would not hesitate to use nuclear weapons. A "crunch" for them would certainly mean any significant working class uprising in the region that threaten the Arab regimes and appealed to Israeli Jewish workers on the basis of building a federation of democratic socialist states in the Middle East.
Unfortunately, in this epoch, nuclear or at very least nuclear conflict between small nuclear powers, like India and Pakistan for example can't be ruled out. Experts have suggested that even an event like that would kill millions and make huge swathes of the planet inhospitable and incapable of sustaining human life. And then there's climate change. I feel sorry for our youth but at the same time put my hope in them. As the saying goes, "Young people are not the problem, they're the solution."
