Dalai Lama opens the US Senate with a prayer.

You can see why the representatives of capitalism in the US Senate have figures like the Dalai Lama make a presentation or open their meetings. Their views are completely non-threatening to the murderous policies this audience oversees through their political power. Could you imagine having the opportunity to face this crowd and not saying one word about their murderous activities whether it be attacking workers and the poor at home or slaughtering others abroad?

Were the Dalai Lama to spend his time condemning them for their actions, he would be a likely assassination target; he certainly wouldn't be asked to open their meeting. I felt a bit sorry for him at first being used by these people in the Senate, but his view of the world is completely flawed and he has to take responsibility for it. He has to take responsibility for the fact that he knows the suffering and brutality that the people he is speaking to in this video bring to the world's workers and the poor. It is not the product of bad thinking: It is not the consciousness of men that determines their being, but, on the contrary, their social being that determines their consciousness."
The idea that we can "think" good thoughts and our actions will follow from that to a peaceful existence is a philosophy that the 1% love and tolerate as it can solve nothing, it is reality turned on its head. Billions of people are praying for food and peace, thinking the right thoughts. This doesn't stop the drones.  "Think and pray away says" the 1%.

The Dalai Lama, the Pope, other religious figures, all help perpetuate the system and the violence it wreaks on the people of the world by prostrating themselves before the likes of this Senatorial Gang. The Dalai Lama may be different from the pope of Rome in that he lives a more frugal life and his influence is not as widespread but his view of the world is similar.

Political religious leaders who criticize would not be welcome, Martin Luther King was one and he was moving toward a socialist position shortly before he was assassinated as was Malcolm X. This is clear if you read their later writings.  The present Pope, who was in Argentina when the junta was murdering dissenters and throwing their bodies from aircraft in to the cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean, is making fancy speeches against wealth and inequality for one reason only, his organization is losing customers globally to his competitors. The Leopard has not changed its spots.
