Trayvon Martin. In context.

A right wing commentator in the Wall Street Journal yesterday scoffed at the movement to demand justice for Trayvon Martin. He claimed that racism had been done away with in the US That anybody could write this is itself is a sure sign of the continuing racism in the US. A couple of examples to put things in context.

Here in Chicago 61 year old black man Howard Morgan was recently shot 28 times by four white cops. And in March of this year 22 year old black women Regia Boyd was shot dead by a white cop. She was along with her friends and the cop told them to keep quiet and when somebody spoke back to him he shot into the group killing Regia. He is quoted as asking previously: "What do I have to do to get some peace, some quiet, some respect, shoot somebody?

Racism is alive and well in this country. Justice for Trayvon Martin. Unity of all working class people against racism.

Sean.
