Mitt Romney says "I think it's dangerous, this class warfare" with regards to the protests taking place around the country. The protests are placing some strain on the Democratic Party as it wants to tap in to this movement and use it with elections coming up but doesn't want to embolden it. The Democratic Party is "seeking to tap its energy without opening the party to charges of class warfare" says today's Wall Street Journal. This is incredible when you think of it. People are losing jobs, being thrown out of homes, eating out of soup kitchens etc and they're worried about supporting the protests because they will be accused of class warfare. As we say, they only call it class warfare when we fight back.
Obama "sympathizes" with the movement without "embracing" it. The protests will turn off the Democratic Party's "wealth donors" says the Journal, which means Wall Street and the techie billionaires as well as the party's moderate voters. The Democrats and their allies atop the Labor movement will do their best to coopt the movement and derail it. This must not be permitted.
