Here we go again: Clashes in Yemen between protesters and police

Protesters in Yemen fought police for the third day today demanding reform and the resignation of the country's president Ali Abdullah Saleh

Many of them were university students.  The situation throughout the Middle east is very similar in that youth unemployment is very high and thousands of university graduates have no chance of finding a job.   Actually, this is the same globally, Britain, the US etc. The Yemeni regime is yet another oppressive government closely linked to the US and the CIA.  It was Yemen that agreed to take responsibility for the assassinations of "suspected" al Qaeda operatives by missile attack when it was actually the US.  The reason being that the people of the region are much less favorable to the US government than crooks at the top who line their pockets with loot and receive arms and money from the US.

In Yemen, hired government thugs  have also been used to attack ant-government protesters.

The situation in many of these countries that rely on US arms and money is very similar to South Vietnam where US capitalism armed and supplied a regime that couldn't get elected by its own people.
Some three to four million died in that fiasco including 67,000 US youth.  Vietnamese children are still being born deformed due to the affects of the Dioxin that the US sprayed on them and their food supply. I have had two American friends, Vietnam Vets who died of Agent Orange related cancers lately. When you think of the families that lost brothers, fathers and husbands, its effects were vast.  And Kissinger, one of the war criminals responsible for this mass murder is walking around a rich man.
