It is hard to get precise news out of Libya. But it seems certain that a powerful movement against the oil company stooge continues. Ambassadors are resigning, air forces pilots are defecting with their planes when ordered to bomb the opposition on the streets. This would only be happening if there was a huge opposition continuing. The country's second biggest city seems to be in opposition hands also. Another Arab country which is a stooge of the US and British oil companies is threatened and when threatened turns to massacre and slaughter to hang on. On a related point. This blog has always argued that the way to struggle for change is by building a united international independent movement of the working class. We have always argued that it is a mistake to ally with other forces, especially other class forces. The Irish Republican movement (IRA) in the past took weapons and resources from Gadhafi.
