Release Assange. Release Wikileaks Funds. Step Up Defend Wikileaks Campaign.

Wikileaks activist now under arrest. Military peers over his soldier. Build the Hands Off Wikileaks campaign now. Release Assange.

It appears that the spotlight was too much on Assange for capitalism to assassinate him. So now they have him in jail. But capitalism is in a bit of a bind. Defenders of Wikileaks apparently have an encrypted file with identities of agents, spies and sources all over the world, plus events that have been hidden, and if anything happens to Assange they say they intend to release the encryption code. This sounds like a plan. The only thing I would say is they should release the majority of this file as soon as possible, just holding back a tiny portion for leverage. We should all be able to see this information.

Feeling it cannot kill him at this time capitalism is trying to keep Assange in prison and to do this they want to starve him of funds for legal action. To this end Mastercard has cut him off, Swiss authorities have frozen his accounts, Paypal has cut him off, Amazon has cut him off. Any and all companies which are involved in this must be boycotted. This is not hard to do. Boycott them, tell them why and call on others to do so also. Hurt them where it hurts these outfits. In their pockets.

The charges against Assange are so ridiculous that the Swedish prosecutor dropped them in September. They were only resurrected again in recent weeks by a Swedish politician. At least one of the wman making the charges has worked with a CIA front in Cuba. It is a set up to try and intimidate Assange into silence.

One worry is that Sweden would ship Assange across to the US where he would be tortured and held for years and maybe "disappear" in the monstrous US prison system. After all Sweden was one of the states which after 9/11 helped the US in its illegal kidnapping of people and shipping them around the world for torture. The US Attorney General is talking about bringing charges against Assange and his own country, Australia, is withdrawing his citizens and legal rights.

But what is very heartening is the campaign that is developing to defend Assange and wifileaks. This must be built and supported. Capitalism must be denied its efforts to keep its dirty deeds and inner workings secret. Let us all see how it works. This will weaken it and in turn strengthen the working class in its struggle world wide.

Sean.

Maybe a good thing ....

We NEED transparency as part of a proper steering mechanism to survive the global society we created with technology.
At this moment our society has an obsolete 200 years old steering mechanism with to many crisses. How can a few wise people understand these complex global issues pending ?

Would we have gone to Iraq over Weapons of mass destruction is we were part of the diplomatic cable discussion ?
Better of with more transparency ? Credit Crises / Cable gate shows governments are not so much in control of the global society.
Wasn't it work of the press to tell us the truth ?

At least the cork out of the bottle. Fact is that secrets are harder to keep anno 2010.
Shutting down is naive. Discuss it is the only option.. Come on free press, have vision ..take the lead.
