The capitalists are mad.

Capitalism is destroying the planet.

There is the old saying. Those whom the gods seek to destroy they first make mad. This was brought to my mind when I was reading the serious capitalist press these past days. The financial catastrophe the capitalists brought about in 2008 was only prevented from bringing down the entire capitalist system by the trillions of dollars handed over from tax payers money. This is understood by working class people and there is a great resentment. But when you read the press these days it is obvious that the capitalists are sailing on as if nothing has happened. As if they did not get this huge bail out, as if the working class people of the world do not hate them, as if they can look to the future and all will be well. These people are mad.

They are going on with the same crooked ways. The New York State Attorney General has just filed charges against one of the top four auditing companies for fiddling the books of companies. This auditing outfit, Ernst and Young was involved in fiddling the books of Lehman Brothers. Just because they put Madoff in jail does not mean they enforce the laws against their own class. Madoff is there because he fiddled his own class, because his case was so blatant and also because they want to try and claim that their capitalist justice works. You see they say, did we not put Madoff away? In passing did you see him when he was out for his son's funeral. Immaculately dressed with a gleaming white shirt and extremely expensive clothes. I am wondering who did his laundry, who bought him his clothes, who got them cleaned for him. If it was a young poor black man it would be unlikely he would get out for a funeral and if he did he would not be able to dress like Madoff.

A new crash is coming. The old ways will produce similar results. The second shoe will fall. When this does there will be much greater hell to pay. This time it will be harder for the capitalists and their politicians to loot tax payers funds to bail them out. Tax payers have done this once before and they did not like the taste of it. Not only that but the recent tax deal allows the rich to continue with their big tax cuts. So once again it will be working class people, who pay the bulk of the taxes, who will be asked to bail out capitalism. At some stage they will go too far and this country will explode. We will see the kind of strikes and uprisings that are taking place in Europe. A new era will have begun. The American working class will move into battle. It will be like the 1930's and 1960's all rolled into one. In this holiday season i will take it easy and anticipate this new coming.

Sean.
