UAW Local 5960 members and supporters protest against UAW International leadership's collaboration with the employers

This video is from the demonstration at Solidarity House, the UAW headquarters. It was organized by UAW Local 5960 workers to protest the International leaderships' collaboration with the employers in denying the Local members the right to vote on their contract and forcing concessions down their throats. A major issue was the two tier.  There are some good interviews here.

What sort of leadership do we have in the Unions that supports anti-Union, solidarity destroying two tier wage rates?  The UAW are not the only ones. This is becoming common practice in the Union movement, the Union hierarchy are becoming more open about it as they move to shift the crisis of the market on to the backs of working people.   I spoke to Theresa Barber, a retired UAW member from Indiana who said the rally was very positive and was inspired to a great extent by the Indianapolis UAW rank and file who fought back against the UAW International leadership negotiating a contract with the employer over their heads.  We reported on this here.  Present at the rally was Olen Ham, one of the last surviving sit-downers who, when asked about Solidarity House stated, "I don't know 'em."
Hopefully this will become a more widespread trend throughout all of organized Labor

This is very good news. It is a very good idea to keep money in peoples pockets. It is not right for the capitalists to keep all the money. Why do they fail to put a proper media on the streets to report working class news issues.
