Right wing violence, racism.

Unemployment line in USA.

They showed it on TV even. And that is something. Thugs in the Rand Paul campaign wrestled a woman from the liberal group moveon.org to the ground and then stomped on her face and head. What kind of people are these? There is only one way to describe them, they are violent thugs. It is not hard to see how they would run a country. They would violently suppress anybody who disagreed with them. Their talk about first amendment rights and freedom of speech are just lies. They no more believe in these than Hitler or Stalin believed in freedom of speech. But on to another topic. Racism.

The nation's unemployment rate is at least 9.6%. But it is 16.1%for blacks and an incredible 41% for black teens. Black people are 13% of the population but make up 38% of the prison and jail population. This inequality is beginning to make the people who run the country a little nervous, they want racism and division to be always simmering but not to boil over. They are worried things might get out of hand. So just recently we have begun to see a particularly noxious idea sneak its head above the parapets again. This is the idea of the so called "culture of poverty." The suggestion of the right wing academics who are paid to push this is that people are poor because of their culture. The idea is that black people have higher unemployment and poverty rates because of their culture.

What is at work here is this. Capitalism is going into deeper crisis. Black people are hit harder and harder by this. But so is the working class as a whole. From the capitalists' point of view this must not be blamed on the system at any cost. Capitalism is not to blame. No it is never to blame for anything. In the case of the terrible unemployment and poverty levels amongst black people it is caused by black peoples' culture. This is vicious racist anti working class crap.

The unemployment rates are caused by the failure of capitalism to provide jobs for all. It has nothing to do with culture. The system cannot provide good paying secure jobs for all. And when there are not enough to go around what does exist is handed out partly on a racist basis so that the working class can be kept divided and the tiny capitalist minority can rest on the majority of the working class, the white working class, and continue to rule. A central element in their strategy is divide and rule.

The white workers on average are marginally better off than the black worker and in terms of unemployment dramatically better off, so capitalism focuses on this. Behind their hands they say to the white worker, see are you not doing okay. You do not have that culture of poverty so you do not have those unemployment levels. This is racist propaganda. It blames the astronomical unemployment rates on black people rather than on the system, it seeks to con white workers into thinking their better living standards are because they are culturally different and superior to black people, more racism.

Divide and rule this is their strategy.

It is a strange old world we live in. People are fooled too easily by the dream of money. We so often hear the phrase "aren't they making money". It should never be to make money the primary way to value our sense of well being. This kind of thinking has created such a huge nightmare. We have to play a team sport when it comes to sharing the wealth created by workers.
