When Will The Victims of US slaughter in Indochina Get Their Long Overdue Apology?

Left: B52 terror in Indochina
Two of the worlds most successful perpetrators of violence, US and British capitalism are patting each other on the back these days.  A previous post wrote of capitalist propaganda and the struggle for the consciousness of the worker.  Most Americans for example would have no idea that the US overthrew the democratic secular government of Mossadegh in Iran or of the US's role in the assassination of Lumumba, Allende and others.  When it is not committing violence directly, US capitalism has its proxies do it.  The US supplies more of the worlds arms than all the other arms exporters combined, somewhere around 46% of the world's total.

It is sickening and very frustrating at times to hear talk about peace and the need to fight terror and all that from the mouthpieces of US capitalism, the most murderous thugs on the planet.  When is the apology coming for the mass murder in South East Asia.  The mass murderer Henry Kissinger is a famous and important US citizen, he is responsible for the deaths of millions.

The US Subcommittee on Refugees claimed that between 1968 and 1972 more than  "three million civilians were killed, injured or made homeless" in the Vietnam venture, another nation that never invaded or threatened the US. * During this period the US dropped 4,500,000 tons of high explosive on Indochina.   This is not to mention the spraying of Dioxin, one of the most poisonous substances known to man on their food as well as the people and their own troops. Hitchens also reminds us of the CIA's "Phoenix Program" which murdered and kidnapped some 35,000 civilians.

The US's little escapade in to Laos killed another 350,000 or so, and 600,000 more in the illegal bombing of Cambodia.  These cross border raids had interesting names, Hitchens referred to it as a "menu of bombardment" as the code names for the raids were "Breakfast" "Lunch" "Snack" Dinner" and "Dessert".  Vietnamese children are still being born with birth defects due to the chemical warfare waged on them by US capitalism.  When are they getting their apology is what I want to know?  And what about reparations for them.  Sadaam Hussein was small potatoes as they say when it comes to the fine upstanding gentlemen of the US military industrial complex.

Of course, the African holocaust touched on in the previous post takes some beating, anywhere from 15 to 20 million died there.  And if we consider the annual deaths today form hunger and disease that stem from policies determined in the finance centers of New York and London, the murder continues.

To top it all off, the US just gave Tony Blair, the former British Prime MInister its highest peace prize, the Liberty Medal. Former president Bill Clinton was full of praise for Blair.

Who wouldn't want to put a stop to all this?
