Will the pope go to heaven?

I like to watch those TV detective shows when I want to veg out a bit and one thing you will always hear the judge tell the defendant when they hand down the punishment is that it was so severe because the defendant showed no remorse.

But the king of Rome was out in his gold robes today preaching.  Before he spoke they brought out one of his flunkies, a top cardinal in the church hierarchy who defended the 83 year old pope. The cardinal praised the pope "Holy Father, on your side are the people of God, who do not allow themselves to be influenced by the petty gossip of the moment..."  "Petty gossip?" This is what these horrible hypocrites call revealing the truth, letting the skeletons out of the closet. What arrogance.  Jesus would be turning in his grave this Easter.

As priests around the world are being confronted by their victims and the role of the former Nazi youth member come pope in covering up these crimes become clearer, the Vatican calls their complaints "petty gossip".  Pope didn't counter the cardinal's statements.  Didn't say he's sorry, he screwed up. He hasn't humbled himself, or even had the guts to defend himself but has some underling do it.

Barbara Blaine, president of Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests was angry at the cowardice and hypocrisy of these liars  "When we speak up and tell how our childhood innocence was shattered by sexual assaults by priests, it is not 'petty gossip,'"she said in a statement. Prior to this, the victims claims and the media publicizing them has been likened to anti-Semitism.

The cardinal claims it hasn't damaged the pope's reputation among his "flock".   He is very wrong about that for sure.  But what scumbags they are.  There is no judge to slam the gavel down and give them 30 years admonishing them for not having the decency and courage to admit guilt. They are shameful characters, such dishonest liars they refuse to admit their transgressions. I have more respect for the mafia than them.

I have only one thing to say to you popey: NO HEAVEN FOR YOU!!
