Oh my word. Somebody mentioned Israel's nuclear bombs. How dare they.

In general, whenever the middle east is discussed in the US press, the issue of Israel's nuclear arsenal is never mentioned. Israel is the most nuclear armed nation in the area and this, and it's racist predatory regime is ground zero when it comes to the cause of the crisis in that part of the world.

Occasionally it is mentioned that a part of Arab indignation is the refusal of the US to criticize Israel and its one sided approach to the issue, including in the UN where the US has blocked any attempts to deal with the issue, but this is not given any serious consideration.

If we stop and think for a minute and put ourselves in the shoes of the Arab masses or Iranians; why would they not be worried? The Zionist regime is intent on driving out the Palestinian population, and, as the British governor of Jerusalem once said, act as British imperialism's "loyal little Ulster in the middle east". Ulster would be replaced with the US equivalent, but you get the drift.

It shows how biased US support for the Zionist regime is when you consider that most people in the US would think Iran is the dangerous nuclear power there. Iran of course, has never invaded its neighbors and suffered greatly during the war with US puppet Saddam Hussein, a war instigated by US capitalism which supplied both sides.

The Financial Times reported today that a US official uttered the unthinkable----he referred to Israel's nuclear weapons in a speech. Israel has always refused to even discuss the matter with the world, neither denying or admitting it has a nuclear arsenal. And certainly allows no inspections. The demand for access to a country's nuclear arms facilities comes only from the nations that have them like the US and Israel. They want to be the only ones on the block. The US never attacked North Korea did it? Israel is reputed to have hundreds of nuclear weapons of mass destruction, something the US claims it only found out about in the 1960's; hardly believable given the US is the world's largest arms pusher.

This is part of the Obama administration's method but the goals have not changed---US capitalism cannot rely on the Arab states to defend its interests in the region, the revolutionary potential of the Arab masses is too great. The heroic struggle of the Palestinian masses is what is forcing this shift; they refuse to go away to the displeasure of the US, Israel and Arab governments alike and something has to be done. They want to try the honey instead of the vinegar.

But this small piece of information should make us think of how angry at the US the Arab and Muslim population must feel in this region driven from their homes by the Zionist regime in Israel and supressed by US funded dictators of one sort or another in other countries in the region.
