a couple of things.

The degree to which US Imperialism are prepared to lie is impossible to exaggerate. While their regime in Israel have killed almost 500 people so far in the last few days in their bombings, while the number of Israelis killed has been four, the entire mass media of US Imperialism and its stooges continues to portray the entire issue as the fault of Hamas. They will do anything to prop up their stooges in the Middle east. And Israel is their main one. 

What period do we live it" The Wall Street Journal had an article in its December 31st issue by Thomas frank.  In it the author wrote: "Today we stand at the end of a long historical stretch in which laissez-faire was glorified as gospel and the business community got almost all its entire wish list granted by the state. To show its gratitude, the financial industry then stampeded us all over a cliff." A god assessment of where we stand today. The leadership of the working class movement should be taking on capitalism now when it has exposed itself. but the truth is this leadership is as afraid as capitalism that the system might collapse altogether. this is so because they have no alternative themselves. Those of us who believe in socialism have to make sure we raise this alternative and fight and organize for it. Sean
