Working People Must Act: Capitalism Cannot Solve a Crisis of its Own Making.

This brutality is nothing new. The Zionists are racists, extremists and themselves terrorist troops of a terrorist state. They are backed by the US. In my town the council is wanting to increase taxes to pay moneylenders for a loan (it's called a bond) in order to pay for much needed expenditures on the public schools.

Rather than this, we should stop sending billions to these murderous bastards than increase taxes on workers, homeowners and by association renters as landords will likely pass these increases on to them. Caterpillar makes the bulldozers these people use to destroy Palestinian homes and neighborhoods. Caterpillar's workforce is unionized and had quite a major strike back in the nineties.

The UAW and the trade union movement in general should begin a campaign of work stoppages, go slows, strikes, whatever it takes to stop the weapons going to these fascists. My guess is the missile and weapons manufacturers plants are unionized also. We can't talk of international solidarity and continue to support the genocide of a people.

In addition, some of us had a discussion yesterday when the issue of climate disaster was raised again. This is perhaps (barring a world nuclear war and the Zionists are mad enough to start it) the most important existential threat to human existence on this planet. Workers have the power to change this situation. The organized working class alone has that power.

Resolutions are important as a tool to educate and agitate but, alone they are not enough. Rather than resolutions that go nowhere, the demand and a campaign for the taking in to public ownership, under workers control and management, the energy industry, the financial industry, the mass transit, health care and housing industries, indeed, the dominant means of production in society is a necessity if we want to change course away from the inevitable, collapse of society that we are facing as capitalism unravels.

there is no reason that public education cannot be funded at the federal level. Just like the US military is.

The only reason is the conservative religion that says the government cannot do anything.

Property taxes to fund local public education are highly regressive as are most taxes in the United States.

The Rich 1% and their corporate interests own this country and they literally cannot be taxed b/c they write the laws.

Makes me sick of this country.

Correction. They won't be raisng taxes as older loans are being paid off and this is simply a new loan.so they'll use taxes already introduced for previous loans.
