Demands to build coalition to defend wikileaks.

Left. Assange of wikileaks holds up copy of Guardian, a British newspaper which has been publishing wikileak's material.

Far Left. Bradley Manning young US soldier accused and imprisoned for allegedly passing on diplomatic cables.

This blog has been urgently pressing for the defense of Wikileaks and the importance of this struggle. We have expressed our worry that the union leaders and labor leaders are not acting on this. And we have also explained that we are concerned that many of the left and radical forces have not acted with sufficient speed and resources. It seems that there is an insufficient awareness of the importance of this struggle.

While Union, labor leaders and many left and radical forces might underestimate the importance of this development, our enemies are very clear on the danger represented by Wikileaks. This is shown by their imprisonment of Assange and Manning even though they are charging Assange with nothing. They have also seized his bank accounts and they have pressurized outfits such as Amazon, Paypal etc. not to do business with Wikileaks. They are worried.

The other sign that they are worried is that the US Air Force has banned its personnel from viewing any websites that hold the Wikileaks material, This includes major corporate publishing organizations such as the New York Times. This shows what we have always said. The is a society based on censorship. When it is threatened with the exposure of its secrets and lies it moves to close down access, it moves to tighten the censorship. So far the Air Force has blocked over twenty five websites. This information is printed in today's Wall Street Journal.

We need to keep the big picture in mind. This is about class struggle. A tiny minority of capitalists rule the world. The overwhelming majority of the peoples of the world live in abject poverty and want. The ruling minority must hide this reality as much as possible. They do this by amongst other things through their so-called capitalist diplomacy, that is their secrets and lies. Capitalism cannot function if its secrets and lies are exposed. This is what is involved here. Capitalism has to do its dirty deeds behind closed doors, can only maintain its class rule through hiding its real wants and desires in its lying secretive language.

Wikileaks is doing us a great favor by helping us see what is really going on. Wikileaks with its tiny forces, mainly of youth, are exposing capitalism and in this way strengthening the working class, that is changing the world's balance of forces in favor of the working class. Wikileaks must have our full support. Please pass on this program and post far and wide. Please help and take solidarity action right away. Build a coalition of all forces which stand for the defense of Wikileaks around the set of demands below. We respectfully propose that we build such a coalition around the program of demands set out below. These suggested set of demands are just a first draft and we would be very keen to hear other views and in this way hopefully fine tune and improve them.

Program around which to build a coalition to unite all forces in defense of Wikileaks and campaign for the release of Assange and Bradley Manning. .

#Support Wikileaks in its distribution of the documents and materials it has available.

#Support Wikileaks in its safeguarding of these documents by downloading them and storing them as they suggest.

#Support Wikileaks by being part of the international campaign to release Assange and Manning and to free all its financial assets and financial accounts of these activists and of Wikileaks.

#Boycott all organizations that are involved in attacking Wikileaks.

#For an international coalition of all forces that are defending Wikileaks.

#Investigate the allegations of the women against Assange but in an a forum totally independent of any capitalist state. In any institution of a capitalist state it will be a show trial. For the investigation to be held in an elected body made up of elected representatives from a women's union, anti-rape groups, representatives, male and female from the shop floor, and representatives from the trade union movement as a whole.

#Build Hands Off Wikileaks committees in the workplaces, neighborhoods, trade unions, labor organizations, regionally, nationally and internationally. In this way give a democratic structure to the movement in defense of wikileaks. A structure which can make decisions democratically and which can have a collective leadership which can replace itself when and if capitalism removes some more of of its members.

#For priority in publication of the 250,000 documents to be given to those which show the internal workings and dirty dealings of the financial institutions, the bail- outs for the rich, the reasoning behind the capitalist classes internationally as they pursue a course of cutting wages, jobs, conditions and social services. Wikileaks say they have a trove of documents on Bank of America and other banks. These should be immediately released and all the documents which show the financial, industrial and economic dirty tricks of Capitalism. This would strengthen the understanding of the working class as to where it stood.

#The attack on wikileaks, Assange and Manning originate from capitalism's biggest powers and ruling classes/circles. They are meant to defend the capitalist system as a whole from critical or even just honest eyes. Capitalism cannot exist without its secrets and lies, its capitalist diplomacy. When a tiny minority rules the great majority and when this tiny minority live in unimagined wealth and the majority live in great poverty and want, then capitalism must obscure this reality, must obscure this class struggle. The role of capitalist diplomacy is to do this. It is to lie. The peoples of the world cannot afford capitalist diplomacy, cannot afford capitalism's secrets and lies. They need to know what is what. The defend Wikileaks campaign needs to work not just to end the secrets and lies of capitalist diplomacy, we also have to work to end capitalism, the system with which these secrets and lies are inseparably linked. We have to work to build a Democratic Socialist World.
