Class, Race and Capitalism: A Blue Collar Perspective

Racism and other forms of social division affect everyone. The most important aspect in dealing with this divide and rule strategy by the ruling class is recognizing that it is a conscious strategy to divide and undermine the unity of the working class. Racism cannot be eliminated within the capitalist system any more than serfdom could have been under feudalism or slavery under a slave system, whether the slavery of antiquity or of the colonial US.

The very nature of these systems had to experience a revolutionary upheaval for that to occur. Feudal society without serfs was no longer feudalism. Capitalism cannot exist without  undermining the unity of that class that it exploits and is the source of all wealth.

As I explain in the video, if it was not color as here in the US it would be and is, religion, like India and Ireland or tribalism as seen by British colonialism in Africa and so on. By understanding these divisions as a natural aspect of class society and not of human nature we can end it.
