Bernie Sanders is being savaged and given the old Red Scare because he said something positive about Cuba and Castro. He qualified his statements of course making it clear he was not a supporter of Castro but neither am I. I do not consider Cuba a socialist or communist country.
But
when you look at these statistics and compare Cuba’s to India and the US,
especially the life expectancy when compared to the US, one has to applaud it
and ask how come this tiny little Island, blockaded and faced with a 60 year
war of what can only be described as economic terrorism by the most powerful
economic and military state that has ever existed, any intelligent person would
have to look further. India, like the USA, has some of the richest people on the planet living within its borders.
Surely,
the Red Scare, US capitalism’s propaganda machine attempting to equate
Stalinism with socialism or communism and to foster the lie that genuine socialism
is slavery while capitalism is freedom, will not work on the young people
today.
By
the way, these statistics come from the CIA World Factbook. Go check countries that are US allies or proxies and compare them.
