Ecuador kicks out the US ambassador after Wikileaks releases US cable

I see that Ecuador has told the US Ambassador that she is "Persona non grata" and to leave the country as soon as possible.

Wikileaks released  a US cable yesterday that claimed the Ecuadorean police force is riddled with corruption. (not like the police departments in the US eh.)  The Ecuadorean government is pissed off and asked how the US came by such information.  Obviously, the US embassy has been doing a little spying.  This is nothing new as they all do it, but Ecuador's ability to spy on the US is not quite as great as the US to spy on Ecuador and you're not supposed to get caught.  The US was also caught spying on UN personnel.

US interference in the affairs of foreign governments from outright assassinations to funding destabilization attempts against regimes that don't tow the Washington line has a long history in Latin America.  Most of the murderous dictators and generals have been trained in the US and many of their opponents have been assassinated with US assistance like Allende or Rene Schneider, the constitutionalist general in Chile.  A CIA agent was present at Che Guevara's death.
