Why do politicians lie?

All capitalist politicians lie. They cannot admit their system is rotten. 

So then why do politicians lie? I am not talking here of political activists who fight to change the world for the better. I am talking here about the politicians of the capitalist class, the Republicans, the Democrats etc. I am talking about all politicians who support the capitalist system. They all lie. Why is this. Is it some kind of genetic defect. No it is quite simple really. They have no choice but to lie.

The system they represent and prop up does not act in the interests of the majority of the population, that is the working class. But they support that system. They also get lots of goodies from that system. They also need the votes of the majority of the population. But the system does not act in the interests of the majority of the population. So the issue is how to square the circle. They cannot not so they have to lie.

Think about it. If they told the truth. They would have to explain that a handful of corporations owned and controlled by a few thousand profit mad war criminals run the world. And that they take money from these, are financed by these and act in the interests of these organizations and people, this class. Imagine fighting an election on that basis. Vote for me I represent the big corporations and their addiction for profit and their world economy and political system which has war and armaments and climate change built  into it while hundreds of millions starve or die with no health care. Yes this would be a great election platform alright. So they have to lie.

The lying takes all kinds of forms. Racism. This is lying. It is telling either directly or by innuendo that the problems of the world are caused by the color of the skin of a section of the population. Sexism. This is lying. It is telling either directly or by innuendo that the problems of the world are caused by a particular gender or sexual orientation. Nationalism. This is also lying. It is telling that the problems of the world are caused by a particular nationality.

Because the capitalist politicians support their system, a system which does not serve the interests of the majority of the people of the world, they have to lie. They have no choice. Some do it more skillfully than others. One of the problems for capitalism at the moment especially US capitalism is that they have a particularly crude and unskilled liar as its President. This spoiled stupid creature because he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth got away with all kinds of swindling and lying in his business life. Now as President he thinks that he can be just as crude as he was then. This will come to a bad end for capitalism. It will expose the reality of US capitalism and US capitalist politicians.

Capitalism does not represent the interests of the majority of the world's population. It never can. If it is allowed to continue to exist it will destroy life on earth as we know it. This is the truth. The capitalist politicians can never admit this. So they have to lie. The truth is that the future of humanity can only be assured by the international working class carrying out the international socialist revolution and establishing a democratic socialist sustainable world. Any politician who does not stand for this will inevitably be a liar.
