Young high school youth talks about the classroom.

One of the best moments yesterday was when it became apparent that a Democratic politician had wormed her way on to the stage.  The woman MC, a young schoolteacher drove her off.  This was a "bottom up" rally and the folks that organized it are building a "bottom up" movement.  After the Politician (an ex leftist I might add who has participated in the cutbacks) was removed, the MC then went on, with a little help from myself, to shift either her aide or some business as usual flunky from the speaking area.  This politician is running for office or up for re-election this year and, as they always do, she wanted to use the rally as an elecyion platform.

The event in Oakland was a great and predominantly working class event.
