where are the women?

I was looking at the photograph of the Bishops conclave in your last post on this blog. Your article is about these people making decisions about women's lives. The first thing that struck me was: where were the women in this meeting? There were none. This is the Catholic Church which thinks women are inferior to men. So here we have the men making the decisions for the women.

  1. The folks below might be cardinals, that's a step up from bishops. I know there is a cardinal sin and a mortal sin. If you didn't confess your sins and had a mortal sin "on your chest" as I was constantly reminded, you were in deep doo doo if you died in a car accident before getting to confession.

You can't get in to heaven with a mortal sin on your chest, or in your soul. Unless the folks in the picture voted to change that that is.

Of course, there was a prayer that you could say real quick like if you weren't killed instantly; it was called the De Profundis and if you could say it (I only knew it in Latin) you would get in to heaven. It was a prayer to god that was designed to remind you of what a worthless, lying piece of shit you are along with all humans, except the pope who was infallible. I remember beating my chest and repeating three times, "through my fault, through my fault, through my most grevious fault" That should do it.

If you were killed instantly I guess you were bolloxed.
