US slaughtered 30% of North Korea's population

The economist and author Michel Chossudovsky has written a piece on the history of the Korean war. It helps us understand the thinking and the nature of the North Korean regime. *
Chossudovsky writes:  From the Truman Doctrine to Obama. The history of the 1950s Korean War confirms that extensive war crimes were committed against the Korean people. As confirmed by the statement of General Curtis Lemay:

"Over a period of three years or so we killed off - what - twenty percent of the population."

North Korea lost close to thirty percent of its population as a result of US led bombings in the 1950s. US military sources confirm that 20 percent of North Korea's  population was killed off over a three period of intensive bombings:

"After destroying North Korea's 78 cities and thousands of her villages, and killing countless numbers of her civilians, [General] LeMay remarked, "Over a period of three years or so we killed off - what - twenty percent of the population." It is now believed that the population north of the imposed 38th Parallel lost nearly a third its population of 8 - 9 million people during the 37-month long "hot" war, 1950 - 1953, perhaps an unprecedented percentage of mortality suffered by one nation due to the belligerence of another."

During The Second World War the United Kingdom lost 0.94% of its population, France lost 1.35%, China lost 1.89% and the US lost 0.32%. During the Korean war, North Korea lost close to 30 % of its population.

Not even the so called liberal media in the US mentions this fact. As this blog explains continuously the US is one of the most censored societies in the world. It is also one of the most hypocritical. The Obama/Clinton regime and its flunkies bellow on about the North Korean rocket firing but the US is daily firing rockets, and not into space to fall in the ocean but at human beings and killing these human beings all the time. It tests rockets on living human beings. What hypocrites. We do not support the North Korean regime but we understand what made it like it is. The genocide of 30% of its citizens would make any country a little strange. What would the US be like if 30% of its population had been killed by bombings from a foreign power.

What would 30% of the US population be? We would be talking about 90 or 100 million people killed in the US. Imagine what type of society we would be after such a catastrophe when we are so paranoid and repressive after the killings of 9/11?  We would probably all be walking around in little Kim suits or worse and living in the most viciously repressive regime. And there certainly would not be much of a mood to give up nuclear weapons.

This slaughter in the Korean was yet another war crime carried out by US capitalism. Not by the US people but by US capitalism. And remember for every war crime carried out by US capitalism more people worldwide are turned into enemies of the US people.  More US people are made more insecure and put in greater danger. As this blog always explains. It is the crimes of US capitalism on the world stage that creates the threats to US citizens abroad and at home.

During the second world war Britain lost 0.94 of its population, France 1.35%, China lost 1.89% and the US lost 0.32%.  North Korea lost up to 30% of its population and this at the hands of US capitalism..

For an end to all US wars and occupations abroad.

Bring all US troops home.
US foreign policy to be based on needs of workers of the world not the US corporations and their profit addiction.
